SPEECH AND WHAT ARCHIVE, MELBOURNE FLOTTANTE, 2010

Speech and What Archive, Melbourne Flottante, group exhibition, Y3K Gallery, Melbourne, 10.04.2010 – 08.05.2010.

Speech and What Archive, the group and research project, began on a floating studio on a river in Chatou, France, at the invitation of A Constructed World. In Melbourne Flottante, we continue to consider what is kept and why it is kept, how things may be mapped, traced or stored, the possible shape and content of an archive, who may speak and what is kept unsaid, and generally what is privileged in culture so that it is available to the future. During the exhibition the curators will work on methodologies of archiving and re-presentation

Speech and What Archive, Melbourne Flottante, curated by Marie Gautier and Anna Hess (Paris) and Liv Barrett and James Deutsher (Melbourne) with the support and counsel of A Constructed World.
